Shaws began life as a butchers shop in the Borders town of Lauder, which was a finialist in the search for Britain's Best Butcher 2008. The business was founded in 1828 and has been passed down through generations of the Shaws and subsequently the Deans families.
We have always stuck true to our roots; procuring the best possible produce which we then skillfully butcher to offer our customers the best quality products.

Home Oak Smoked Gammon
We hand cure our pork legs with a blend of salts and spices to ensure maximum flavour, before smoking over oak chippings for a strong smoked flavour. Our free range Pork is sourced from trusted local farms around the Scottish Borders, who keep their livestock to the highest welfare standards. All of our bacons and gammons are dry cured by hand. Home Smoked Gammons are available in half (2.5kg) and whole (5kg) joints.
