Shaws began life as a butchers shop in the Borders town of Lauder, which was a finialist in the search for Britain's Best Butcher 2008. The business was founded in 1828 and has been passed down through generations of the Shaws and subsequently the Deans families.
We have always stuck true to our roots; procuring the best possible produce which we then skillfully butcher to offer our customers the best quality products.

Rib Eye Roast
A very versatile roast with no waste, very easy to carve for family meals or can be cut into steaks for weekend suppers. Internal fat gives a concentrated flavour which is further emphasised by dry ageing on the bone for a minimum of 35 days. Our beef is sourced from prime grass fed cattle from trusted local farms in the Scottish Borders. Rib Eye roasts are sold as whole or half Rib Eyes for greater versatility. Approximate whole weight is 4kg.
