Shaws began life as a butchers shop in the Borders town of Lauder, which was a finialist in the search for Britain's Best Butcher 2008. The business was founded in 1828 and has been passed down through generations of the Shaws and subsequently the Deans families.
We have always stuck true to our roots; procuring the best possible produce which we then skillfully butcher to offer our customers the best quality products.

Our delicious fillet steaks are dry aged on the bone for a minimum of 35 days, concentrating the flavours, giving exceptional taste and tenderness. We then expertly trim each steak for your order to ensure the greatest eating quality. Our beef is sourced from prime grass fed cattle from trusted local farms in the Scottish Borders. Fillet steaks are available in 6oz, 8oz and 10oz portions.
